We develop our energy centres to generate power and recover heat from the same infrastructure. Multiple energy sources enables us to bring down the cost of energy across an entire system, and to provide the resilience the UK energy system needs.

We own and run live energy centres today. Our team has designed, built and operated this infrastructure at scale, including some of the largest renewable heat systems in the UK and Europe.

Local energy works when local stakeholders work together: water companies, local authorities, network operators, heat offtakers, funders and the communities served. Ownership structures balance the risk. This does not change how we work with you thereafter.

We lead in the development of technologies that others have not yet reached. Low-carbon energy requires grid flexibility, multivalent sources and resilience. We have pioneered optimisation and technologies such as wastewater heat recovery: one of the largest untapped low-carbon energy sources in the UK, and an area where our expertise is among the deepest anywhere.
